Tropical Storm Paula has become a hurricane during the early hours of today off the coast of Honduras and is heading toward the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. He reports the U.S. National Hurricane Center.
While Paula was just a tropical storm yesterday, emergency Honduran authorities have urged residents to evacuate the coast.
The Mexican authorities instead issued a hurricane warning for wind and rain on the Caribbean coast.
