The miner, Florencio Avalos returned to the land surface in the Wednesday morning after being trapped 700 meters from surface since August 5th, along with other 32 miners.
Avalos reached the surface at 0.11 local hours in the capsule ‘Phoenix II’, prepared by the Chilean Army in collaboration with NASA workers to rescue all the trapped miners in the San José mine in Atacama Desert (northern Chile).
