New Gap Logo is Already Out of Style

Clothing retailer the Gap recently changed its iconic, all-caps-in-a-blue-box logo to a modern (and lame) black lowercase Helvetica logo. But when the people spoke – and hated it – the company decided to revert back to the old and comfortable. The Boston Globe reports that the new logo was met with so much criticism from bloggers, commenters on Gap’s Facebook page, font officianados and the design community that the only choice was to throw out the new letters.
