Last night we had the chance of witnessing a truly wonderful event, when the total lunar eclipse 2010 took place. The show last about 3 hours and a half and the peak phase lasted 72 minutes. As you may know this took place at the same time as the winter solstice, something that won’t happen again until the year 2094.
The color of the moon slowly changed from its familiar silver to a blood red color, while the moon became a disc in the sky.
