Bernard Hopkins, 46 years old, turned the oldest world champion in boxing history, outscoring Jean Pascal and bringing the younger man to schooltime end-to-end the fight. Hopkins won on marks of 115-114, 115-113 and 116-112.
Hopkins (52-5-2, 32 KO) is the legit light heavyweight champion for a 2nd time, after his years of supremacy in the middleweight class. Pascal, as Hopkins stated, pushed fairly well for approximately four rounds, but since that it was entirely Bernard Hopkins. The
