Vintage Bugatti purchased for £60 auctioned off for £430k

A Bugatti racing car purchased for £60 in 1950 has been auctioned for £430,000.
The 1924 type 35 Bugatti was discovered by Jack Perkins, from Rugby, Warwickshire, at a Nottinghamshire airdrome and furbished up to racing shape.
The car sped at Indianapolis 500 in 1936 and the American National Championship races in 1938.
The original car was sold at Bonhams’ yearly auction at Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex.
Engineer Mr Perkins, who passed away in 1992, kept on racing the
