The University of California at Davis is offering a Bachelor of Science degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems this year. Tom Tomich is Director of the UC Davis Agricultural Sustainability Institute, he says it has been in the works for eight years and is geared toward students who want a background in the breadth of the food system; agribusiness, processing, inputs, finance and even ag journalism.
