Wheat, corn close higher

Soybeans were mixed – mostly steady to firm – on spillover from corn, wheat, and crude oil. Still, there was no fresh news, the seasonal trend is down, and weekly export inspections were bearish. USDA reports 58% of soybeans are dropping leaves, compared to 74% last year and 68% on average with 5% of the crop harvested, compared to 15% last year and 11% on average, and 53% of the crop rated good to excellent, unchanged from a week ago.
