Governor Jay Nixon commemorated the state’s agriculture producers Tuesday at a Jefferson City farm to mark Thank a Farmer Day. Governor Nixon noted that agriculture is the backbone of Missouri’s economy.
“Missouri farmers and processor feed, fuel and clothe the world, that message was driven home last month during our trade mission to China,” said Governor Nixon Tuesday. “The world recognizes the quality of Missouri agricultural products and is demanding them.”
