After nudging higher the four previous sessions, cash cheese prices held steady to close out the week on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange on Friday. A busy day with 14 loads sold and 3 bids unfilled all at the market prices, $ 1.56 for barrels, and $ 1.5625 for blocks. Traders did back-out of some of their Class III positions ahead of the three-day weekend; January was down 34 cents, February 35 cents lower.
For the week, cash cheese barrels gained 2.5 cents, blocks are unchanged and butter
