Equine Herpesvirus (EHV-1) is a recurring respiratory and neurological disease in horses. Most recently there has been an outbreak in Orange County, California. Researchers at Colorado State University are taking a closer look at the virus specifically the pathway it takes through the airway and throat. Dr Gisela Hussey says the goal is to develop a better vaccine.
