New record auction price for Nebraska farmland

A 160-acre farm in Clay County in south-central Nebraska sold at auction this week for 12-thousand dollars an acre.
Auctioneer Randy Ruhter believes that could be a record price for a public auction of farmland in the state.
The land is gravity irrigated with pivot potential, good water and soil. A few weeks ago, two farms in eastern Adams County—also in south-central Nebraska—sold for just under 12-thousand, and another sold for $
